Italian Herb Crusted Pork Chops

Tonight I decided to put together a few Freezer Meals.  I put together three total.  Two of them went straight to the freezer and the other we cooked for supper tonight.  It was delicious!  The kids even loved it!  I thought I'd share it with all of you!

Ingredients:

8 pork chops, thin sliced, boneless (about 2lbs)
     1 1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 Tbsp Wildtree Hearty Spaghetti Seasoning
1/2 cup oil (I would have used WT Grapeseed Oil, but I'm out!!)
     1/2 tsp salt
     1/2 tsp pepper

Combine all ingredients in freezer bag, seal and shake bag to combine well and coat chops as much as possible.  Freeze.

To cook:  Thaw completely.  Remove chops (trying to keep as much of the crumb mixture on the chops as possible) and place on a broiling pan.  There will be some crumb mixture left in bag.  Take this and gently press onto the pork chops.  Broil on high for 2 minutes on one side.  Lower oven temp to 350, turn chops over and bake for 15-20 minutes or until meat is cooked thoroughly (cooking time will vary slightly depending upon the thickness of your chops).

This is a definite "kid-friendly" meal!!!  My four all loved it and wanted seconds!!  You can even slice these in strips (like chicken fingers) and eat them with your fingers!!

These will definitely be a repeat in our house!  Next time the chops are B1G1 free at Winn Dixie, we will be putting more of these in the freezer.  I love being able to go pull out a freezer meal in the morning or the night before, thawing it in the fridge and having something delicious to cook.

BONUS:  Wildtree makes it healthy too!!

Advanced Penny Pinching

A few years ago, I got an invite from a friend to attend a Coupon Workshop. I attended and was amazed with what I heard. I was a SAHM to 4 kids and was looking for a way to help out with our families finances. This helped me to make a difference in how much we were spending on groceries each week. I would highly recommend this book!! Tabitha (Penny) has a ton of knowledge to share! I admit, I've not done all I could do with what she taught me. However, I plan to read the book myself and get refreshed on why I started the coupon and stockpile journey. I hope you will give it a try too! Click here to visit Tabitha Philen.

Quick Easy Supper

Yesterday was one of those days where I had a ton I wanted to do, but I just didn't get much of it finished!  I hadn't planned anything specific for supper.  I needed something quick and easy!  Long gone are the days when I have boxes of hamburger helper in the pantry.  I just can't feed that to my family anymore.  So I headed to my pantry with all my Wildtree products.  I had a couple of the skillet meals.  One was the Stroganoff Skillet Meal.  I had ground beef and egg noodles so we were set to go.  It only took me about 30 minutes to get us a meal on the table!  It felt good to do something quick, but I could still be confident it was not putting chemicals in my children's bodies!  This eating healthier journey is just really beginning with us, but we are making steps in the right direction!  I know God will help us to do even more.

Matthew 19:26

New International Version (NIV)
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Time for a Change

Hamburger Helper, boxed Macaroni and Cheese, Jar of spaghetti sauce, boxed potato and rice sides, can soups.  These were regulars on our grocery list for a long time.  The kids started coming along and these things made it easy to get a meal on the table.  Then there were the nights I was either lazy or just didn't have time to cook, so off through the drive-thru we would go.  I'm not saying we are totally past this, because we aren't, but I'm choosing to make changes in what I feed my family.  When I was introduced to Wildtree, I was going through some health problems.  My husband too.  Then I looked at my kids.  I realized I'm the one that controls what is available to them to put in their mouths.  I need to teach them to eat better now, so they don't struggle with the health issues hubby and I are.  God is really dealing with me on this.  I've not made all the changes that need to be done, but we are taking steps in the right direction.

Me and the family

Wildtree has helped me do this.  I signed up to be a rep mainly to get the discount on the wonderful products.  Now instead of a box of Hamburger Helper, I can pull out a Skillet Meal.  I add my own meat and pasta and we have dinner!  I can take out chicken and choose from a number of seasoning or sauces to marinade it with, then throw it on the grill or in the oven.  It takes just as much time as the unhealthy options I was choosing.

I did not sign up with Wildtree to "make a living".  I signed up to make life healthier for my family.  I'm sharing it with friends and family because I really believe in the products

This post is not about me "selling" Wildtree.  Its about sharing what I've come to realize about choosing wisely what I feed my family.  I hope sharing this will help others think about what they are feeding their families and choose healthier options, Wildtree or not!

My precious children

Each day is a new day.  I may mess up, but as long as I keep moving forward and allow the Good Lord to teach me something new everyday then I'm succeeding.  We are not eating 100% where we should, but we are so much closer than we were a year ago!

Heavenly Chocolate Mousse

I wish I would have taken a picture before the tasting!  This is so easy to make.  You can use either Heavy Whipping Cream or Cool Whip and mix in the packet of  Wildtree's Heavenly Chocolate Mousse.  Chill it in the fridge for a bit and you are ready to enjoy.  We love it with fruit, but its also good eaten all by itself with a spoon!

My niece Bre gave it thumbs up!

I've always enjoyed watching Dr. Oz on tv.  He seems to always give some great advice on things.  Take time to read this article showing another benenfit of grapeseed oil.
